General Theme: It based on Star Trek Voyager, one of the Star Trek series. Basically they were sent on a short mission, but ended up stranded 70 thousand light years from Earth, and are now facing a seventy year journey back home through unknown space and no contact whatsoever with Earth.

Welcome to Earth; 24th century. The United Federation of Planets has established Federation Starfleet as the military, and deepspace exploratory service. It has been this way for over 200 years. To become an ensign, lietunant, commander, captain, admiral, etc you must graduate from Starfleet Academy.

"Unhappy with a new treaty, Federation colonists along the Cardassian border have banded together.

Calling themselves 'The Maquis,' they continue to fight the Cardassians.

Some consider them heroes, but to the governments of The Federation, and Cardassia, they are outlaws."

The Voyager, a state of the art starship with an unlikely crew, was sent out to catch these one ship of these outlaws, and chased them into a Plasma Storm. They find no debris or ship, even though a cardassian warship claims to have destroyed them. The Voyager crew isn't buying it. However, there isn't enough time to search because suddenly something was scanning them, and a displacement wave was moving toward them. They couldn't out run it, 'brace yourselves.' Seconds later the crew find themselves seventy thousand light years away with a ship that looked like it had been attacked.
The 'Caretaker' had transported them there, because he was looking for a compatible mate, unfortunatley he died before he could find one, and before he could transport them back. Voyager found the Maquis ship there, too, and the two crews banded together, facing a 70 year journey back home.

(This Forum is started about six months after all that happened. However, unlike the series they will not be saved the seventh year. AND I will let characters who weren't there until later join because otherwise it wouldn't be complete <3)

(Voyager is one of many Star Trek series, and is what this Rp is based off of. I've actually made this very simple, I think, so don't fret if you don't know the difference in a warp engine and a Cardassian.)
